USF A-464 is a strong base Type I, porous gel anion resin. The polymeric matrix is styrene divinylbenzene activated with quaternary amines for strong base characteristics. This resin when regenerated in the hydroxied form has the ability tor remove anions and weak acids fro aqueous solutions, such as carbonic and silicic acids. The general appearance is a hard spherical bead. This resin is resistant to organic fouling from waters containing dissolved organics and is tested kinetically to verify operating performance.
