Serv-A-Pure 711001, 10" Big Blue Whole House Sediment Removal Water Filter System
You are buying a whole house water filter system that helps to reduce sediment levels in your water source. This system is fully customizable to meet the exact needs each customer is looking for. Follow the steps below to design the perfect filtration system for your needs.
Select Inlet/Outlet Sizing:
You can choose either 1/2", 3/4", 1" or 1-1/2" inlet/outlet sizing. All sizes are male pipe thread connections. Also, the filter system can come equipped with or with ball valves on the inlet/outlet. Installing these ball valves allows you to turn the water off right at the housing when time to change the filter and also isolate the filter housing when changing the filter so the whole house does not drain back through the filter housing. Ball valves are not a necessity but make turning the water off a much simpler task.
Select Filter:
There are many different styles of sediment filters that can be selected here. The lower micron rating of the filter, the more sediment removed from the water. If you need any assistance in picking out a filter, please contact us at 800-338-4905 for help.
Select Flow Direction
Choose the flow direction that flow through your housing once it is installed. It will be either left to right or right to left. If you choose the wrong direction, that is ok. Once you receive the housing the bracket and gauges (if ordered) would just have to be turned around.
Select Pressure Gauges:
Having pressure gauges installed allow you to monitor the pressure drop of your system. If the pressure drop becomes too high, you know it is time to change out your filter. You have 2 different options here:
- 2 Pressure Gauges/No Relief Button: Having 2 pressure gauges installed allow you to see the inlet and outlet pressure of the filter. Once the difference between the 2 gauges becomes too high, you know it is time to change your filter out. Installing 2 gauges removes the pressure relief (red) button from the top of the housing.
- 0 Pressure Gauges/1 Pressure Relief Button: The pressure release button is located on the inlet of the housing and no pressure gauge will be installed.
Select Accessories:
There is only 1 accessory that can be chosen with this filter housing system, a spanner wrench. The spanner wrench fits around the outside of the housing and assists you in removing the sump from the cap when it is time to change the filter. You can choose the standard plastic wrench, the metal life time warranty wrench or no wrench at all.
Drain Valve:
Adding a drain valve to this system can serve 2 purposes. The first is that this gives you a spot to release the pressure on the system when it is time to change the filter. Secondly, it helps remove some of the weight by removing the water from the housing making the system lighter to handle.
