Pro-Softener Mate removes limited iron, manganese, metal particles and organic compound that cause water softeners to lose efficiency. Pro-Softener Mate is a total softener treatment that eliminates the need to use costly softener salt additives and should be used as part of a routine maintenance program.
First Application For A Fouled Unit
Dissolve 1 cup in 1 qt. of warm water. Pour directly into the brine well (Softeners with no brine well, pour directly into the salt storage tank when the salt level is low). Manually regenerate the softener. Repeat for heavily fouled units.
Regular/Maintenance Use
Add 1/4 cup for every 40 lbs. of salt added to the salt storage tank. Layer to ensure a continuous dose of Pro-Softener Mate with each regeneration. Water softeners on high iron bearing water should use Pro-Rust Out.
