Pro-Res Care Liquid Resin Cleaner - 1 Quart

Pro-ResCare will chemically clean a fouled resin bed of a water softener and restore the exchange capacity of the resin. Most types of water softening resins can become fouled with iron and other contaminants that will affect the performance of the ion exchange system. Iron fouling can cause channeling, pressure drop, loss of capacity, hardness and iron leakage. Regular use of Pro-Res Care will minimize fouling and extend the resin life in the water softener.

First Application For A Fouled Unit
Use4 oz. (1/2 cup) of Pro-Res Care per cubic foot of softener resin. (Most residential softeners contain approx. 1 cubic foot of resin. If unsure check your owner's manual). Pour Pro-Res Care directly into the brine well. If your softener has no brine well, pour Pro-Res Care directly into the salt tank when the salt tank is low. Manually regenerate the softener. Repeat regeneration if taste, odor, or discoloration is detected in the discharge, then run cold, soft tap water nearest the softener until water tastes, smells, and appears normal.

Regular/Maintenance Use
Add 1-2 ozs (1 tbsp) per cubic foot of resin at each regeneration.

Automatic Feeder Systems
Fill the feeder to the "FILL" mark indicated on the label but do not overfill. Add more Pro-Res Care when the solution level drops to or below the "REFILL" line on the label.
