Nelsen AIO-12T-Katalox, Iron and Hydrogen Sulfide Removal System, Up to 11.5 GPM

The Nelson AIO Air Injection Oxidizing Filter System, as a single tank system, is an efficient and cost effective system for the removal of iron and sulfur. The Nelsen AIO system can remove up to 8 ppm of Hydrogen Sulfide and up to 7 ppm iron. A daily backwash will remove accumulated iron and replenish the filter media bed. The regeneration process also adds a fresh air pocket to the system.

HOW IT WORKS
The Nelsen AIO system maintains an "air pocket" in the top of the tank while the system is in service. As the water passes through the air pocket, iron and sulfur are oxidized out. Additionally, dissolved oxygen is added to the water. The Nelsen AIO filter media bed then removes the iron and sulfur from the water.

CONTROLS

The Neslsen AIO system comes equipped with a Fleck 2510SXT air injection control head that automatically backwashes the system to clean the media and flush everything down the drain. By utilizing a patented piston in the control valve, the AIO system is able to put the whole oxidation process inside one tank, keeping maintenance costs and down time to a minimum.

MEDIA
The support media used in this Nelsen AIO system is Katalox Light. Katalox Light is granular with a natural Zeosorb and very specially processed and coated media that can filter particles as small as 2-3 microns. It generally falls under the category of "Coated Zeosorb" with manganese dioxide. It is not a resin or plastic or sand product. All components are NSF Certified to ANSI/60-61 standards. Katalox Light media is the most effective and economical filtering media and heavy metals removing media in the market today.
