Serv-A-Pure 721162, BBFS-222SSLR, Sediment and Lead Reduction System
You are buying a 3-stage whole house water filter system that helps to reduce lead levels and provide sediment protection. This system is fully customizable to meet the exact needs each customer is looking for. Follow the steps below to design the perfect filtration system for your needs.
Select Inlet/Outlet Sizing:
You can choose either 3/4", 1" or 1-1/2" inlet/outlet sizing. All sizes are male pipe thread connections. Also, the filter system can come equipped with or with ball valves on the inlet/outlet. Installing these ball valves allows you to turn the water off right at the housing when time to change the filter and also isolate the filter housing when changing the filter so the whole house does not drain back through the filter housing. Ball valves are not a necessity but make turning the water off a much simpler task.
Filter #1, Sediment Filter:
Installing a sediment filter in front of the lead reduction filter protects the lead reduction filter from prematurely plugging up. Start with a higher micron rated filter here. There are many different sediment filters that can be placed in front of the lead reduction filter, and if you need help picking out the proper one, please contact us.
Filter #2, Sediment Filter:
Choose a lower rated micron filter than you chose for filter #1.
Filter #2, Lead Reduction Filter:
All the filters in this list are used to reduce the lead level in the source water.
- AF-20-2015-BB: This filter is a mixture of KDF-55 media and GAC carbon. KDF-55 media can remove up to 99% of water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals. All KDF
Process Media forms are effective in controlling the buildup of bacteria, algae, fungi and scale. The GAC carbon in the media also reduces chlorine and other tastes and odors in the water. This filter has a nominal micron rating of 25 microns.
- 06-425-200-20: The Matrikx Pb1 is a powerful, multi-functional filter cartridge for residential and commercial water treatment systems. It provides exceptional lead and cyst reduction. which meets the requirements of NSF/ANSI Standard 53. This filter has a nominal micron rating of 0.5 microns.
- CB-200-6300-BB-LC: This coconut shell carbon block filter are specifically designed to provide the highest level of cyst and lead reduction. This filter has a nominal micron rating of 0.5 microns.
Pressure Gauge #1 Option:
Having pressure gauges installed allow you to monitor the pressure drop of your system. If the pressure drop becomes too high, you know it is time to change out your filter. The more gauges you have installed the easier it is to trouble shoot later and find out which filter needs to be changed. The most gauges you can have installed is 4, and this still allows you to keep the pressure release button.
- Pressure gauge #1 will be installed on the inlet of the first filter, which is the sediment filter.
Pressure Gauge #2 Option:
Pressure gauge #2 will installed in between the 2 sediment filters and will monitor the outlet pressure of the sediment filter and the inlet pressure of the 2nd sediment filter.
Pressure Gauge #3 Option:
Pressure gauge #3 will installed at the outlet of second sediment filter and the inlet of the lead reduction filter. This will help monitor the pressure drop of the second sediment filter.
Pressure Gauge #4 Option:
Pressure gauge #3 will installed at the outlet of the lead reduction filter.
Accessories:
There is only 1 accessory that can be chosen with this filter housing system, a spanner wrench. The spanner wrench fits around the outside of the housing and assists you in removing the sump from the cap when it is time to change the filter. You can choose the standard plastic wrench, the metal life time warranty wrench or no wrench at all.
Select Flow Direction
Choose the flow direction that flow through your housing once it is installed. It will be either left to right or right to left. If you choose the wrong direction, that is ok. Once you receive the housing the bracket and gauges (if ordered) would just have to be turned around.
